The Boat
Wine Therapy was originally named Lulu Kai, built in 1958 in Southern California by the Jefferies Bros. She was custom ordered by Pacific Ocean Park aka the POP in Venice Beach. It was a nautical themed park and our boat was part of Polynesian Trader Boats. POP was only open from 1958-1967.
She moved to San Pedro making Ports O’ Call her home. Lulu Kai made daily LA harbor tours passing famous landmarks like the Love Boat during the 70s and 80s. She then moved to Kona Kai Marina in San Diego before heading north to San Francisco to make Pier 39 her permanent home.

The Captain
Evan Vera-Martinez
He has spent many years as a plumber keeping the water contained. Now his only wish is to be out on the San Francisco Bay with the water flowing beneath him. When we speak about Evan as a wine, we are talking about investing in futures in a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. As he ages and develops, he’s pulling in all of the influences of everything around him. When ready for bottling, he will be an extremely complex wine ready for that juicy steak.

Brian Smith
Pacific Ocean calling! Brian comes to us from Santa Cruz, CA via Austin, TX. So he’s the perfect combination of laid back beach bum with a Texas kick! Always the life of the party, Brian will be the perfect host sharing our unique selection of wines with our guests. If Brian were a wine, it would be a Syrah/Zinfandel blend jammy and earthy with a peppery spice aftertaste!
